I have been researching the police version of the Norge .
The purpose is to find a set of crash bars for my 2008.
Does anyone here have a source for these? or seen these installed it appears you would need to drill holes in the fairings to make them work.
thanks
Dave

Hi Dave;

I did find a reference to them
http://www.piaggiospares.co.uk/spares/e ... 3.74&uid=0

But I don't think they fit the 8V models...

Yes you do have to put holes in the fairing.

I contacted the dealer whose website this is linked to, He said he could supply, but never did answer my question as to fitment on the 8V or does MG supply a template for locating the holes properly.

Also, these are only the fronts... There was no reference to the rear guards.

I also checked with Agostini they could not supply.

But as you can see the link is from the UK .

If you find something please post ... I am also interested!

This is a pix I took at the factory in 2006, the year the Norge was released.

The crash bars are visible, but I don't know if this is of any help.

Meet Sam there, too!

Hello!

Yep those are the ones.. I would really like a set for my Norge, I think they look good.

Hi Dave!!! .... Still planning, some day, to get to NZ... and take a tour of your homeland by Guzzi! Too many things going on on this side of the planet for this year though....

We met at GMG and also I think you were at a couple of the Guzzi Nationals... Malibu and Colorado? ..

Contact Stucchi. Then made a set of crashbars for the Norge 2V that work well (from what they told me). I guess they should have had the time to adapt the system to the 8V engine and fairing by now.

Having seen a police Norge in the flesh, I'd say the bars are too wide ... and apparently they come with the sirens?!

We had/still have a police Norge in the UK, it is currently being run by a female cop who is also a club member.
She wrote about the bike in our club mag, and there was only one reference to the "absurdly wide" crash bars.
