QD Exhaust Can

I might be tempted, I wonder how the price of a carbon can compares to the Mistral version?

All said and done I think I paid about £380 for my mistral, so more or less the same, Corsa in Wimbledon (Sth London) sells these.
I went with the Mistral as I read it was quieter, no complaints so far other than having to put a tap on the stepper motor to stop the popping on overun.

Asked Dynomaxuk a couple of questions ref. the dyno test.

Was the cat fitted?
What version of factory ecu mapping was used?

Reply as below.

'Hi Mike

The dyno run is with no cat fitted and the baffle in. Mapping was carried out by QD utilising a RexXer unit, uploading the map onto the stock ECU.

Best Regards,
Linsey

I am assuming the map answer is in relation to the modified tune up kit mapping.
The hole looks as if it was on an original factory map.

Might be worth a try.

Happy to build a slip-on for a Stelvio using my stainless or carbon muffler shown below. The muffler is built by a well-known Italian maker. Intro price $589.95 USD in stainless or $689.95 carbon, shipped within the U.S. PM or e-mail me to order; Todd at GuzziTech.com

I had a look at a used Stelvio in a local dealers recently. It was fitted with a QD can. It looked relatively small compared to the standard lump and a tidy fit. The shop fired the bike up for me and the sales chap rode it up and down the road so I could have a listen. It sounds sweet, a bit deeper than standard, perhaps a bit noisier but not too bad, in fact I expected it to be much louder. It had the baffle in, the salesman was unable to confirm whether it was street legal, we couldn't get the panniers off to have a close look for any markings on the pipe.
In the UK, Corsa Italiana sell this pipe as per their website, it states its road legal and comes with the cat fitted. I'm happy to keep the baffle in but would like it to have the cat removed. I'm loathe to fit an aftermarket pipe until the warranty expires, and I wonder how the fuelling will be affected if I were to fit this QD sysytem.

I'm of the same opinion although I was told the exhaust would not effect the warranty apart from the can mounting bolt position on the frame.

Like the look of it but want to hear from somebody who has one fitted.
How is the bottom end effected for example.

Wait and see. :?:
