Rain covers for EV bags

I am now the proud owner of a 2001 EV 80th Anniversary edition Moto Guzzi. I love this bike!

However, the beautiful Italian leather bags are not water proof and I am getting ready for a trip which is sure to involve rain riding. Does anyone know of a rain cover that will work with these bags? I have been unable to determine if Moto Guzzi offered such. Options so far seem to be: trash bags, custom covers locally made, or .....??

Any suggestions?

Best bet is locally made. Find someone who does automotive upholstery. They could probably turn elasticized covers out pretty quickly. It probably wouldn't hurt to include some type of retaining strap as well fastening with a buckle or double D ring fastener.
