rear lift stand

I asked that question elsewhere a while back … no replies at that time. My research and received recommendations from my dealer, point to Pit Bull. A little more than some of the cheaper ones, but well made, and dependable. Oxford has one for less, using a 52mm pin (their pin 11, I believe). That said, I haven’t bought anything yet, so can’t comment on personal experience for the Mandello. I have an old Oxford for my dual swing arm Ducati. It’s held up well. I’m sure there are many options!😁
 
Pit Bull make the best stands by far in my experience, and I think they make them for all Guzzi's too. I'm still using a floor jack and a 2x4 though 😩
 
I was looking at rear stands, but decided to put on a center stand. Very easy to get the bike up (my MulitStrada was a real pain), and tucks in nicely hiding a lot of the ugly cat. Also, can lift the front wheel pretty easily.

There is nothing as sickening as the sound of a very expensive motorcycle, falling over, because of a very cheap stand…

(I say this having been twice in a person’s garage when this exact thing happened.)

Buy the best quality stands you can. They are infinitely cheaper than fixing a dropped motorcycle.

If the BMW pin works (ie, 52mm), any “left swingarm” stand that will lift the BMW should lift the V100. I agree, a $40 stand probably shouldn’t be trusted😉. Generally, we get what we pay for. I’ve seen the Pit Bull Hybrid One (comes with the V100 pin) for $279. The handle can be operated from front or back. If you don’t have access to a BMW pinned stand, or center stand ($250 for comparison), I’d go with the Pit Bull😙. Good luck!
 
A friend sold off his BMWs and had his Pit Bull stand left over and I got it. The pin was a tad too large but I spend a minute with the lathe and just skimmed off a little bit. It's 53mm now and I think is a perfect fit, so 52mm would also be fine. I don't know why his BMW pin was bigger than other BMWs mentioned above, but it was clearly bigger than 53mm when I got it. I'm still a little tentative getting the bike up and down on the stand, but it is nice to have.

BMW pin size is 53.5mm, that’s probably why.
