Anyone want to sell a used or know where I can get a (reasonably priced) replacement after market rear rotor? My rear rim came off the bike while riding (luckily at low speed) and I'm replacing every part that was possibly compromised....

Nearly happened to me once - after I had removed/replaced the rear wheel. Couldn't find a 17mm socket so used a ring spanner. Noticed that the cover over the rear wheel bolts was nearly off - found the 4 bolts had unscrewed somewhat and the bike was doing funny things on corners. Didn't fall off, but close enough to scare the crap outa me!

Found a replacement--OEM was only $118.

Long story but dealership went out of business and no one in town would touch the rim with it on the bike so I had to remove, take the rim/tire to a local Honda shop for the tire change and then re-install myself. I didn't know you need to use lock tight so basically what OZ said above but worse.

Sorry to hear.
While I would not fault you for using Loctite I would not think you HAVE to use Loctite. If you properly tighten the lug bolts they should not come off. It is a serious amount of torque for those bolts, requiring proper tools and the wheel off the ground. Straight up torque should do it, it does for me.

loctight is not required. these bolts have a tapered shoulder - do em up properly and there should be no further issues - he says ducking for cover

Don't need loctite, just torque to 80 lb ft (110 Nm). This is one location where a torque wrench is a must.

Agreed...and invest in a paint marker. Put marks on the bolts so you can see at a glance if the bolt is loosening. I take a look at them every so often to make sure they are still there......
