Does anyone know if it's possible to remove the 2 sides which the front foot rests on. I want to remove them ant put rear sets on like the rossopuro ipothesyes (I know I spelt it wrong)!! Are they integral to the structure of the frame?

They are not structural, no. Either side can be removed with the bike on the side stand.

So I take it that with the removal it would not effect handling etc?

It might leave your legs flailing in the breeze ........................................ bit hard to get your knee down.

Not if you install another set of pegs. :pinch:
The stock parts are overly complex and made of soft/cast aluminum. Link me to what you are using.

Sorry to dig up an old thread, just wanting to confirm something. Those big side plates that the pegs are mounted on are only really holding the pegs/shifters? So pulling them while working on the bike has no structural impact? I have a bent shifter and pulling that would make it a lot easier to get it off.

Also, other than the concept has anyone deleted those plates and gone to a more traditional pegs/heel plate/pedal combination?

Kevin gave me a set of lowering pegs he took off of his bike and I definitely like the height but I find the movement outward a bit awkward, I can tell I would hit the base for the peg when putting the boot down and then sliding down onto the peg.

Yes, they are simply holding the pegs and related. You can remove them with the bike on the side stand, and they will not impact anything else. See the parts break-down for an exploded view.

Ok guys! I've made my own straight bars , loads better for me! I have removed the foot peg plates and now making my own rear sets. I've seen the griso little Italy and want the tail piece and seat. I've seen it on ez tuning but all in Italian! 120 euros is what I can make out but not quite sure what I actually get? I want spoked wheels for my 2006 griso any ideas?

Great! Pics?
For the wheel swap on the fordable side, perhaps post a trade or look for a used set online off of a '11+ G8V. Otherwise, I can get you pricing on a new set.

Thx Gt. Will bear that in mind once more money comes in !
I've just looked at the Corbin single seat for the griso looks really good! It would make life easy to buy it. Do they make these in the uk? Would Corbin send a pattern for their uk outlets?

I'd love to see what some rear sets would be like for the Griso! Not sure my knees would tho. Hmph.
