Just got it firing!
Looking for rear stand wisdom for the V7 III Stone. I had an Abba Superbike Stand that I used with my old bike and ordered the fitting kit for the Ducati Multistrada that is said to work for the V7 (fiting kit no. 76). Tried to use it today and it won't fit. I take that back - it might fit but will, at a minimum require removal of one of both pegs and an additional set of hands - even with pegs removed I'm not confident that it will clear the headers. I can see how it's possible that it could work with the earlier V7 and V7 II's - smaller diameter headers and, particularly in the case of the racer, different peg positions. I'd love for someone to correct me if I'm wrong. Has anyone with a V7 III (non-Racer) successfully used the Superbike stand? Did you need to remove one of both pegs? What's your secret?
I'm currently considering the Pitbull stand which I understand will work on the V7 III if the evap cannister is removed. If anyone has positive or negative experiences with that stand, please feel free to offer praise or criticism.
Finally, I have the Pitbull front stand and I've used it with some other bikes. A quick check of Pitbull's website doesn't indicate any front stand fitting pin applications for any of the V7s. Wondering if anyone has successfully used the Pitbull front stand on their V7. I currently have a couple of pins for this stand - one that fits my old Honda and one for a V11 Sport. Both pins seem far too narrow in diameter to work with the V7 III.
