Hi All
After a ride I discovered an oil leak on my rear wheel. My suspicion is that diff oil has leaked out to the wheel hub then out through the hole in the wheel spoke (if that is at all possible). There is no other evidence of oil around the diff itself. It seems to be located only on the wheel. Should I be concerned? I'm avoiding riding the Griso until I can identify the cause. IMG 20160104 111104 Any thoughts on what may have caused this? I've included a pic.
cheers

Could be a seal failure. Seal failure may be an indication of a failing outer bearing. If you can get the rear wheel off the ground, check for lateral play. That would indicate a problem with the bearing. If you search on "CARC failure" you will see a few topics on this. With luck, the bearing is OK and it is just a seal problem.

Equally take the wheel off and you should be able to check if there is any oil round the seal. When my bearing went, the seal didn't leak by the way.

Also you will notice that the 4 tapped wheel bolt holes are very close to the outside edge of the hub. Check VERY carefully for a hairline crack at from one of these holes running to the outside which will be under the seal contact area and cause a leak.
Have seen it once before after 2 new seals were fitted with no success.
If it is the problem maybe a Speedi-sleeve would be a fix.
