Rebuild SP1000 issues

so the "outer" O-ring at the shaft was missing.

THe outer seal is leaking although replaced..

Couple questions to below picture- where do this gasket go? I dont see it in the manual, and there wasent an old one.
Also, those flaps of metals is missing on the bolts, does it matter?

Disk brake rear drives do not use that gasket - they are sealed to the swingarm with just an o-ring. That is only used on drum-brake rear drives.

If there is some sort of locking washer (DIN 137 wave is what the factory used at the end of Tonti production) under the bolt head, then the locking tabs aren't needed. I use a little low-strength thread locker with the DIN 137 washers.

Thank you!

Replaced the outer seal and installed the O-ring and after a 60km ride no drip :)

table spoon oil from the breather - but guessing thats normal, engine has less than 3 liters in it.

So I was trying to fit the original Le mans airbox because with just the plenmum and a foam filter the midrange noise is painful.

With phf-36 carbs and the plastic manifolds ( https://www.stein-dinse.biz/product_info.php?products_id=1018 )

It seems the angle or length of the tubes from airbox to carbs are just alittle off ( see below pic)
which results in a pull on the carb so it leaks.
why is this happening?? does the round fin have a different angle or are these parts not meant to fit stock airbox??

There is a left and right air tube. Be sure you have them on the correct side. You may be able to change the bend on the air tube by warming it up with a head gun. Do so carefully. Also there should be a clamp where the air tube attaches to the carb.

There is a clamp- it’s just black

the Air tubes between Carb and airbox are sold individual, looks the same also??

Those plastic manifolds do not place the carburetors at the same angle as the originals and are not really meant to be used with the original airbox.
