For ~20 years, Guzzi has shipped the Cal 11 and now the 1400s with the key locking gas cap shown below. If you live with them long enough, you know they tend to be a little frustrating and can end up bending or breaking your ignition key if you don't keep the internals lubed. For those who don't care about locking gas caps, or have ended up replacing the cap with another keyed version, I'm offering the knob below that will replace the key tumbler assy. Cost will be $49.95 in raw aluminum (as shown), or polished for $10 more.

The gas cap in the picture at the top of thread looks a lot like the one on my Cali 1400. If the GT-Rx knurled knob works on the 1400's I'll place an order for a polished one.

Just replaced the stupid lock with Todd’s creation.
A two minute job using only a drift. Problem eliminated.

Just received my gas cap key lock replacement. Super easy to install. Looks great on my Eldorado 1400. Thanks Todd! Super happy with your creation. Now I can vent the gas tank discretely when the bike is parked without having the ignition key inserted to the cap. Regards, Henry
