Replacement Aux Lights for the NTX

Hi All

I recently bought a non-NTX model for the orange colour and have had the heated grips and engine guards fitted. I didnt bother with the factory foglights after reading this thread, but thought I'd stick some LEDs on instead. However when I tried to wire them up (with inline fuses, of course) they wont light up. I checked the output from the connectors and it doesnt look like the light switch is doing anything.

Are these enabled in the menu on the dash or something?

Cheers, Alfie

On mine the relay was missing.
You may just need to install a relay in the relay box.

I plugged in an Omron 5-pin relay left over from my V11 Sport. Was then able to see the icon on the display.

Yeah I checked the polarity, it was my first thought.

Makes sense if the relay is missing, it doesnt come up on the dash either so that would make sense if there was no relay. Any idea off the top of your head where this relay is?

Re: replacement NTX aux lamps

Finally got my replacement Denali's back under warranty and mounted them up under the front head light.

Picked up two angle brackets and cut them to length to fit under the headlight but not block the signal lights. Painted them flat black and drill holes where needed.

Then mounted them to the existing holes used to hold on the front fairing to the headlights. Had to use longer screws and some spacers so it gripped onto the threaded clip instead of the plastic.

Not as nice as having a triangle pattern between the headlights and aux light but still light up the road quite nicely and makes me easier to be seen.

Great place for the fog lights, the original lication on the crash bar was really a poor location, the stuck out past the crash bar, absolutely no protection if you drop the bike.

Great fix, relocation, getting them off the crash bar, I am going to do the same. Thanks
