Reset Codes for the Cali 1400 Custom?

Wow..its crazy...I often wonder how Guzzi stays in business in the USA. If not for a dedicated few dealers I believe they
would be history in the states....OBTW..still waiting for my bike to be repaired...only been down since beginning of July.
Here is a question where can we get sparkplugs for this bike without waiting weeks?

The bikes are so fun and generally solid and easy to work on, that most just look around ALL of the deficiencies. "Moto Guzzi: Making mechanics out of riders since 1921." For those who think that Guzzi is a dealer supported brand, they don't last long.

Up to the dealer to stock basic items. I keep a set of plugs on the shelf for the 1400 if you are in a bind.

I would like to buy a spare set...MG is replacing mine in the shop...I would like a spare set..How much?

Thanks
Mike

Allow me to add one more note on the reset. As documented above I had my bike at the dealer twice to get the service code reset before I left on a trip. I figure if the wrench code came on I wanted to know there was a problem and it was due in a few hundred miles if not reset. I left on my trip and like clockwork 6,000 miles from the previous reset the wrench appeared. Apparently the dealer cannot reset the service indicator prior to it coming on or my dealer just does not know how. So now I need to set up yet another appointment to get the indicator reset or ignore it forever more and hope nothing else goes wrong that would trip it and I won't know about it. Other option is go to a dealer I don't trust about the same distance away or try another dealer 2 hours away. Did I mention I work 6 to 7 days a week? This is a pain.

I have not a clue but I know on BMW's you can set it to go off in so many miles from the reset point. I am not sure but I think the max is 12,000. I figured a 6,000 mile time for it to go off but from the reset point. Since the first reset was 6,400 miles and I was over 12,000 when I took it to the dealer I figured it would be reset to 18,000 plus how many over 12,000 I was when it was reset. The icon was not on yet as I was not at 12,400 miles but I had done the 12k tune. Would have been nice if the dealer had known he could not do that and saved me 2 trips down plus the time lost.

I had mine reset and the odometer changed to km @ the same time. The following week I had the new map installed, and the spanner icon showed at 30,000 kM about another week later. This implies that there are distinct intervals when to show the icon rather than a measured amount after the previous reset. You may interpret this differently, but this is what I think happens.

I am thinking after a distance as I had it reset at 6,400 after it came on at 6,000 then it returned at 12,400.(Plus some odd number I forget in both cases).

Greetings, all!

I've had a 2014 Cali 1400 Custom since April - needless to say (but I'll say it anyway), my only regret is not getting one sooner!

My question: I've been searching through the forums trying to locate information pertaining to the reset codes. I am doing my own oil changes, etc, and would like to be able to reset the spanner wrench maintenance icon.

I apologize if this information is already somewhere here - and I'd appreciate it if someone would point me to it.

Cheers and thanks!
The code is 34534
