My wife and I have just returned from vacation to Southern California where we visited San Diego and Los Angeles and for the latter part Santa Barbara and Malibu, where we lodged with Todd and Gretchen (highly recommended) and rented the V7S for a few days.
Todd's local knowledge of the roads and canyons surrounding Malibu greatly enhanced the experience of renting the V7 which was an absolute delight to ride. The bike was kitted out with a number of modifications including a full GT-Rx exhaust system, revised fuel mapping, upgraded shocks and a sports screen, in addition Todd also fitted sports panniers for our convenience.
Whilst there I also had an opportunity to see the V7 Racer and Triumph Thruxton that RentAGuzzi has to offer, these are not rental hacks, all the bikes have been perfectly set up to ensure that you have the best riding experience possible and in my case Todd fitted some air shocks and also piggyback shocks that he has under development for us to try.
I cannot comment as to the level of improvement over the stock V7 as I have a California Touring, all I can say is if you are considering buying a Guzzi or you want a memorable ride on a professionally set up machine try RentAGuzzi, you will not be disappointed.
Finally thanks to everyone we met in California for your courtesy and hospitality.
