Good news: The Scura seems to be charging sufficiently to at least get me from point A to point B and back with multiple stops in between. The San Gabriel Valley side of GMR (south side) kicks boo-'tay.

Less than good news: GRR is pretty cold at 6K ft. and contains a LOT of debris toward the east end, including ice, water, rocks, sand, gravel, moss/algae, and any other possible road hazard for bikes that you can imagine. BUT, I did make it from the west end to the east end without falling, as unbelievable as that might seem.

Great to be riding daily again.

w,
I have been working nearly every day, I'm going to take some days off in the next couple of weeks, let me know if you want to do some riding and I will break out roper's scura, its been sitting for a couple of months, I would enjoy getting out and doing some riding with you...
Cheers,
jon

sounds like a plan, jon. let's do it. let me know when you're going to be free, and i'll make sure i don't have anything lined up.

I can't imagine suffering through all that time without riding... bet it's pure relief. Welcome back!

Now, if you're going to street ride, better get yourself one of those old man Californias. ;)

Well, you can't argue that a Cali is lower profile with our local, friendly LEOs, but after doing 2 hrs. of some of the most technical street riding one can do, I'm pleased to report NO upper body soreness; only a little leg soreness. Puts a big smile on my face! :)

HEY call me if you two go out on scuras I'll bring mine and we will make it seem like the're a dime a dozen!

How many other Scuras do we know of in SoCal? Somebody bought John-Mark's, right? What's his name? Who else? We could do GMR/GRR and then ride back to our place. Then we could do ACH to Wrightwood then ride back to Rich's place, then do the Rock Store and ride back to Jon's place, etc., etc. Sound okay? We could call it the Scura Series or some such nonsense.

Dave Pott (& Jamileh in Visalia) bought Dr. Know's Scura, but Dave have a little oopsie at the track day following the National. I have it on High-Def video... but I'll have to go digging.

sounds good to me, I will be bring roper's scura to my house, currently have it locked up at work. I will go over the basics and perhaps change the engine oil and generally inspect and lube the sucker..... Wife turned 51 today so I'm kind of in servant mode, but I am doing a quick SMM ride saturday morning (sans scura) just to keep the griso's battery charged A scura fest would be great....
