Scavenger tape

hey Todd saw a set of headers in the exhaust wing of your store, with scavenger tape on them .
Use to run it on several other bikes I've had. What's your take on it.
Is the tape on those headers stock unit or stainless units.
 
The heat wrap you mean? It's mostly a cosmetic thing to hide the ugly pipes once you remove the head shields. Little has been proven to say it is beneficial. To me, it just holds moisture and promotes corrosion, even though the pipes are of of very low grade stainless.
 
This was my weekend project. Actually lends to the badassery (new word) of the Custom. :cool:

Then you've got to smoke 'em in. Takes about 20 minutes. All good now.

As they say... Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. I've received several compliments at various stops with the bike. Looks better in person than in these photos. Of course, it's not for everyone. Nothing is.
