When removing/installing mufflers, header pipes etc...is anyone using a sealant on the connection or just a slip fit and clamp it down?
I remember that there used to be a copper/silicone sealer that was available...haven't seen it in years.
Currently I just use plumbers tape and polish the male end really well and slip the pipes together. Still have to work a bit to get them back apart...
What say the collective?

Depends on if you have air leaks that cause popping on deceleration. Other wise just slip together or use a little anti seize compound if you must so they come apart easier later.

I use the anti-seize compound John mentioned, not so much for sealing leaks but making it easier to take apart down the road.
If you have a leak you could use a sealant, but it will make it much harder to take apart down the road.

I use Permatex Copper. I fitted a pair of Two Brothers slip-on from my Honda ST1300. Had to find some adapters at the auto store and some baffles but it worked out great!
The Permatex not only seals but also does prevent binding.

sorry for the blurry picture....
