First let me apologize if this has been asked in the past. I've looked through your older posts and cannot find anything on this specific problem.
I also read the recommendation of not changing anything from stock due to the engineering of the machine.
I am 6 foot tall with a 32 inch inseam, and I find my new to me vintage California to be a might tight between my knees and my hips. I'm looking to add 3 1/2 inches over the stock seat in order to get my legs the appropriate bend. I have looked into Corbin, and they said they could only go two inches higher than the stock seat, not real customer friendly.
If anyone has any experience and can make recommendations, I would be very interested. I would also like to include adding a backrest, after two disc surgeries it's a real help.
Thanks,
Jim

Try contacting Sargent in Florida. I've had then do seats for me. I didn't raise them that much but give them a try.

The problem with the Russel are those big wings in the saddle. Tried one on my 1100 Breva, feet couldn't reach the ground.
