i have tried entering the regular service code for my 1100 Griso, also the last digits of the vin number but to no avail, does anyone have any solutions or a clue on different codes.

The service code is 12425 for all the Grisos. As John says, there is also a user code which is user defined. Some users use the last five digits of the vin number, others their birthday or something else. If you are not the original owner, see if you can contact the previous one.

If you have both keys, you can redefine your user code, otherwise it can get expensive to reset it.

i have tried the standard code, 12425 but with no luck, also the vin number, this is the second key i have broken the end off,
the company that reset it last time told me they had changed the number but niether they or i can find that either.
any suggestions, in the mean time it may mean back to the garage.

What you have told me is that you have lost the user code, not the maintenance code. Only thing left to do is send the key you have, a blank key(s) and dash to Carmo. You can contact them here https://www.carmo.nl/ Many folks set the user code to be the same as the maintenance code to not have this issue. Also stop being so hard on your keys. I've been using the same key for 12 years and it hasn't broken yet. To be gentler on keys, when my key is in the bike, it is the only key on the ring as I can separate it from others with a device like this.
