Hi i have an 1100 Griso, the service warning message pops up intermittently,i understand i may be able to get a lead (Axone cable)&an upload/download thingamy jig (i'm not good with computerspeak!)any help or advice would be much appreciated.

Check your dashboard notifications for error codes. Most common one is DSB 07 Oil Pressure Sender Unit which can act intermittently. If it is showing, replace unit.

I've never needed to check codes for my G11 oil pressure. Just turn it on, don't start, if after the needle swings the red oil pressure / service light stays on then it's because the oil pressure unit is "not-talking". I've cleaned and re-crimped the connector to the sending unit a couple of times now. The light stays out. I hate that blasted nail connection.

Funny thing is I have a new sending unit I've never installed because it's always been the lack of a good connection that gave me the service light.

What "they" said. Seriously, only thing I'll add on the merits is that if, indeed, you find yourself having to swap it out, that chore does not appear to be with the Griso the unmitigated PITA it is with the Norge.

Oh, and thanks for the geography lesson. Saw your location and wondered where that was. In my provincial ignorance, really had no clue even as to continent. Looks as if the Downs area has some mighty fine roads.
