Can I confirm that the display means just that and my bike needs a service or does this mean there's a fault?

Thanks.

Both....the wrench means it need a regular service....the Service word and triangle means there is a fault.

Need to go to the menu screen and then go to the diagnostic screen. From there go to the ECU Diagnose or Instrument Panel Error (most likely an ECU error but check both) Code is 10695.

So I finally find how to get the menu etc. it shows an ECU 'fault 00' what does this mean?

Thanks.

That fault is not listed. The lowest listed fault is ECU 10. Is the 00 fault listed as active or in memory? Clear the errors and let us know if it re-appears.

John, don't think the ECU errors indicate a memory on the dash. Either active or not active.

Did you check the Instrument Dash errors, anything there. ECU 00 is just a non specific fault. Call it a hiccup in the ECU. In other words, something happened, but the ECU has no idea what it is. It is recorded as a Non Recognized Error. Can't really clear an ECU error on the dash if it is still active, for that you will need software. You can only clear a Instrument dash error.

Check to see if there are any instrument dash error, either active or in memory. If those look good, disconnect the battery for a few minutes. This should reset the ECU errors as long as there is still not something causing the error to occur. If it comes back, you will need to dig deeper. If it goes away, call it Guzzi charm....for now.

Is the bike doing anything that it is not supposed to??
