Congrats. I bought a bike new off the floor. I paid list and whatever the dealer felt fair for prep & freight and whatever. The dealer was very helpful in working with my very specific set of circumstances (trade in, schedule, needing to do most of the work via e-mail) and I had neither the time nor the inclination to make them 'deal.' Maybe I'm a sucker, but I am very happy with my purchase.

Yeah I am just going to buy new. A lot more piece of mind knowing I am the only one who has ridden it. The dealer offered me $1000 off msrp right away. I just asked if they can work the price at all and he said $1k off immediately. Sounds pretty good to me. Freight and prep is $700. I still told him I will think about it.

That price sounds fair. You'll love that bike. I know I do.

Griso's are the best in my opinion, power that you can use, handles great whether cruising or whipping around corners.
And looks well just horn, my wife was OK, lets look at it.
She seen it in real life and said buy it, it looks awesome.
Go for it buddy you will not be disappointed.

I put the O.P. to work repairing the front brake line on my Eldorado.
He did a very neat job and so I let him ride my Griso.
He almost crashed it going in a straight line when he lead-footed the rear brake,
but all-in-all I think he will be an asset to the Guzzi community.

After a short ride he was smiling.

I tinkered with a HD Vrod a few months ago while at a bike night with a friend. Then I stepped outside and back onto my '07 Griso and hardly ever gave the Harley another thought. I could not love my Griso more.

When I bought the Griso, like the OP, I also went back and forth on new vs used. FWIW, I ultimately chose used mainly for budget reasons (at half the price) and have been really pleased with it, in part because I feel like I've gotten great service and support from my dealer (AF1 in Austin).

Here's hoping to see a picture soon of that big grin lighting up a Griso of your own - I know I couldn't wipe the smile off my face with mine and still get great joy from it many months in.
