1) Gauge Assembly

Gauges came back from NoHo Speedo.
One of us left a White Face Speedo there and they used parts from that to overhaul mine.
Looking good, short a new 60 deg Gear Box.
A bit over budget (like everything in my life).

The White Light "T" Holder on the old gauge assembly was crumbling.
Jon donated the T from the donor Lemans. Thanks Jon & W.

Put a bunch of epoxy around the screw stud pads to strengthen them up against the crumble forces.

Re-painted the sheet metal bracket and mounted it with new rubber shock mounting.

The Light T is on, and the gauge internals waiting a replacement 60 deg gearbox from MGcycle for final install.

With a new Speedo cable in, the Needle Waggle will be gone.

2) Side Bags

Black Stone Tour racks are installed for a nearly invisible installation
adorning 30L H&B Guzzi Side Bags.
Found just the right Spacers sifting through the trays @ MGC.
Thanks Mark & Sean.

Was short one H&B latch plate and MG Cycle shipped it ASAP.

With a trip to Metric Specialties all the right stainless hardware put the job together properly.

3) Exhaust

Could just leave it alone. But whats the fun with that?
Thinking of going stainless (Mr. Exhaust?).
Thats means Stone or Jackal Headers and a PS slip fit H Pipe.
Working on that.

Leaving the Ceramic coated Bubs on there. Kind of like them, for now.

4) Forks

Still need to install the GuzziTech Emulators (Go Todd!) and the Adjusters.
May leave the Alu/Ti Drag bars on top, otherwise the OG SS Beach Bars on order from Moto International.
Thinking of black powder coating them for a older (none chrome) look.

5) Long Term

Wheels. A re-lace for size and tubeless.

Pics will happen closer to roll off.

This was taken around the SoCal Rally at Castaic.

My design philosophy is to maintain the original charter of the bike and build improvements around that model Character.
That is, the EV is always identified as an EV; the Special Sport is always identified as a Special Sport.

I love the Guzzi. I don’t want to make it into something else. Even with the weird things.
Embrace the weird things. Make them stand out.

Don, hope you are as happy with the valve emulators as I am with them in my Norge. Together with the Hyperpro springs, made a huge difference.

Don,
You need another deep V sump and a billet oil filter that you paint black.....;) BTW, thanks for all your help on the SS, its working very nicely and by spring will show no evidence of ratness..... well, not much....
