Yo, Stelvio Riders;
I love my new Stelvio.... Love Stinks:
I have 1200 miles on a new 2015 Stelvio and it always smells like burning oil, or plastic, or paint or something too hot; when I shut down? What gives. I have never found a leak, not a drop of oil, it doesn't appear to smoke when running, the oil level remains perfect.
I have read that the exhaust system would give off a burning smell on a new bike, but I would think after 1200 miles it would dissipate by now.
It has been doing this from day 1. Jeez, when I visit someplace, somebody always says: "What's Burning!" or "It's an Oil Burner!". Anybody else had a Stinky Stelvio?
Should I be concerned?

New bikes are burning off/bedding in many ways, in addition to the painfully hot/lean running as delivered stock. If the bike hasn't been properly set up, this would be worse. Put some more miles on it. ;)

That is the advice I was hoping to hear. At the same time; I don't want to ignore what might be instigating a problem. I would "assume" that the Burn-In should be complete after XXX miles. I'll monitor this till around 5,000 miles. Should be done with any "burn-in" by then I would assume. Thanks
