Has anyone made sub-frame for a 2014 Norge?? I have run a sidecar (disability) & wounding has any built one before. I need some help with attachment points. I would apricate any help y'all can be. Old Guzzi guy returning to home, 71 Amb. , 74 Eldo w/sidecar, 76 T3, 79SP w/sidecar, 80SP, 09 Calf., ect.

Have you talked to the folks that make sidecars? They would have to make a custom one off to mount their car to your bike. When you do get a car attached, you will probably need to beef up the components in your front and rear suspension. Use the contact tab in the store tab to ask for suspension recommendations.

Yes John, I have talked to serval & they said bring it to them & they will build one. The problem is I am not close enough to them. Jay at DMC has been very helpful but he is in Washington & I am in Texas. I thought someone in group might have some experience.

And do you know how to change my name on this site?

First, let me say that personally, I think the CARC bikes are really not suited to the fitting of a sidecar. Better a California EV with a full frame, but if you are set on this course...

If you are where I think you are, you're in Southeast Texas between Dallas and Nacogdoches.

Your salvation lies just down the state a little ways in Houston.

I have seen several Moto Guzzi sidecar rigs done by these guys. Give them a call and consult with them.

Good Luck!

Scott yes Kent is going to install it. They do professional work, & are very helpful. He has had my sidecar down there we talked about a lot of options. I was going to build my frame myself & trying to get ideas.
I was just trying to make easier for everyone. Jay at DMC has been very helpful also.

Also he has moved to Donie TX just 50 miles from me.

Understood! Well, the very best of luck to you. I'm a sidecar fan and have a 2017 Ural Gear Up at the moment, but I've no experience with sidecars on a CARC frameless type motorcycle. My German buddy Klaus in CA had lots of experience in those type setups with the BMW motorcycles of the 2000's but I've lost touch long ago. He was famous for wadding up his K1200RS sidecar rig racing up and down Mt. Palomar. Klaus had no fear I think...

Good Luck!

I thought Jay from DMC made a subframe for the CARC bike. The guy from TX should also be able to make one. No different than a BMW K.
I have 2 subframes on my Cal2. one on front frame & one on rear. all arms go there. No stress on the frame itself.

Scott gave you some excellent advice. As to changing your name, I couldn't see a way to do that. You should contact the Admin for the site. You can use the Contact function in the Store tab to do that. Or ask the question in the Site Support section.
