I own a 1999 EV 1000 Bassa and unfortunately the right side cover fell off and bounced on the pavement. I bought a new cover, but the chromed plastic piece does not come with it and is no longer available through Guzzi. I was wondering what other side covers fit and/or if someone has ever performed a substitution? I can be flexbile if it looks half way decent.

Any thoughts or ideas out there?

Ed, because of the shape of the seat and side-covers, you are pretty stuck unless you also want to change the seat. Best bet is eBay or post a Want ad in our classifieds.
 
I have an add in the classifieds and I have been scouring the internet. I figured that if any group of people had an alternative solution it would be this one. Sometimes parts availability make me wish I owned one of the Brand X machines. You know the ones, 45 degree twins. You can get parts for those at the drugstore.
