I recently came across some videos of 150cc two stroke drag bike racing from Thailand that were entertaining. Some of these bikes can do the quarter mile in around 10 seconds. The riders wear minimal safety gear, in fact one racer was wearing a bicycle helmet to save weight. Part way down the track the riders shift to the superman position and reach down and shift the bike the rest of the way by hand. I don’t see this flying on any legitimate track in the USA.

It also looks like the Thai’s will race anything. I came across videos of highly modified boats that are not much more than dugouts or dinghies with high performance two stroke engines that are very fast. They also race modified rice tractors. And while I don’t think they race them; some have tricked out rice planting tractors that include sound systems that would make any low rider envious.

I liked the spirit of the people I saw who are into this. And there is also decent money for the better riders to earn. I feel better about the future knowing that there are those who do this and say to hell with what anyone says. I also hope everyone finds this entertaining
