Just got back from a great 2-day California backroad (Bay Area up to Mendocino County and back) ride with 2 other women - awesome time!!! Regina is a guzzista from way back (I'm sure many of you know her and her husband Pat, who tended the homefires this weekend), and Tere rode her tricked-out DRZ 400. Both of them are VERY experienced (30+ years) riders, and it was a total treat to be in their company, on and off the motos. We had an absolute blast.
Sat's road highlights: Bohemian Hwy, Cazadero Hwy, Kings Ridge Rd, Tin Barn, Annapolis, Hwy 1. Sun's highlights: Stewarts Point, Skaggs Springs Rd (the RC just smoked the 6-8 mile eastern end of it), and then Geysers Rd, Petrified Forest/Calistoga Rd, a small bit of wine-tasting, then back to Fremont. We passed a red Centauro on 121, near Infineon - only other Guzzi I saw.....
Had a great weekend....

Btw, Rene, advancing age is this: both knees sounding like gears grinding softly when walking down steps, and the neck sounding kinda the same if I turn my head too quickly to the side.... Other than that, still feel like I'm about 12..... probably act like it, too....
Here's a thread and a smile for you, Lupo!!!

OK, I tried to do captions but it clearly did not work, and I'm too tired to go back and try to fix it somehow???? I do like the pic of our helmets waiting patiently for us outside one of the few indoor restrooms we used.....
Ciao, all!!!

I do like those back roads! :woohoo: Thank you for sharing. :)

Good stuff J, although the following falls under the category of TMI, methinks:

"one of the few indoor restrooms we used....."

PS-check your mailbox for the e-mail I sent you 9/6, need some info for upcoming Dayton trip. Also, did Regina say whether or not she &/or Pat are going to Dayton?

No Bob, TMI would have been if she'd told us all they chattered about inside that restroom ;) I found that picture quite representative for a ladies' outing :silly:

Another nice one, Jam. I also like the picture of the decorated mirror & stalk: without the flowers it would have been a very powerful graphic statement!

Oh, and my knees have been making those noises since I was in my mid-twenties ... but then again, my age have been advancing for at least 25y at that point :p
