Throttle Assembly removal, V65 SP

I've worked on cars all my life, but this V65 SP is the only motorcycle I've ever owned. So sorry if this is a fairly basic question, but how do you get the throttle assembly off of the handlebar? I need to get the master cylinder off, but the darn throttle assembly is in the way and it has me stumped. Thanks!
 
No need to remove the throttle. There are two Allen screws that hold the clamp for the master cylinder. Remove them and the master comes off. If there aren't those two screws on your particular bike, then there are screws up through the switch assembly that come out and the assembly can be seperated to allow removal of the throttle. Be advised, getting the throttle cables back in can be a bit tricky.
 
No such luck- only one Allen screw, the whole throttle assembly has to come off. I'll work on separating it. I had pried on it real gently, but I was afraid of breaking the 40 year old plastic so I figured I'd ask first.

I completely missed the tiny screws on the bottom. Problem solved!
