Thanks to Don E for the tip

There's a plastic rod ball socket for '91 Volvo 240 that's a perfect fit for the 2000 V11S Throttle Bodies. It even has a clip arrangement on the end to hold it tight. Available online or at your local Volvo Dealer - Part # 946703 ~$9 -- These are not available directly via Guzzi.

I was sufficiently annoyed with the factory rod ends on my Norge that I replaced them with metal spherical rod ends (on a seven inch rod with reverse threads at either end) from the local hot rod shop. Very careful measurement of the end-to-end distance is required so that the relationship between the throttle bodies is maintained.

Will these work on my Griso?
Sure, but I sell and recommend those shown below. Stainless and far less slop/play in them. Available R & L threaded also. Contact me direct email if you want a set. I also use these for the shift linkages on my GTM builds.
Made of stainless steel, these ball joint linkages offer more corrosion resistance than steel and zinc ball joint linkages. The stud is machined to fit perfectly inside its housing and swivel in all directions—good for light mechanical components and controls. Seals keep contaminants out.
