TO Vespa

You beat me to this post... same location to a new owner named "Lucky" is all I've heard. Jameson is still the "wrench" there.

I've been there & exchanged a few words with Jameson & the other guy he works with, but no experience in a business sense-except with Jameson when the shop was still under prior management & at prior location. He did the initial service, & recently at 20k, doing the things I don't do myself (inner plugs, TPS, air filter). All I can say is that it came out running a lot better than when it went in, though I've put on very few miles on it since. It had gradually begun pinging more often & more easily as the miles increased-but since the 20k service I can't make it ping. Granted, it hasn't been hot, but still.

Also seems to be very quiet there, not much in the way of inquiring customers. Place is a little difficult to see seperately from the car dealership. I gather the city of TO was being a pain about sign regulations, & shop was trying to figure out a way to be more visible yet still in compliance.

Things seemed a lot busier in Sherman Oaks, perhaps at least in part cause of it's location right on Ventura Blvd.

Folks, Bring me up to speed here. Did David sell TO Vespa? Where do I go for service? This is all new to me. I won't probably be taking mine until after the holidays. It sorta depends on when my wife can take me back home if the bike is kept overnight. There is a wee bit of warranty work to be done. I hope.

Ditto with above post.... Is the new owner still in the same spot (in T.O.) and is he still a Guzzi guy???? Most important you say Jamerson is still there, when you say there do you mean T.O. or still with Dave, but in Sherman Oaks??????? Above post are a little sketchy on details....Thanks

What became of Jameson??? Did he move down to Sherman Oaks or stay with the the new owner.......I'm only thinking of wether i can still have my service inTO or have to travel to the Valley (a pain from Ventura)....

The new location is in Thousand Oaks at the Automall on TO Blvd. Jameison is in TO.

As Bob described signage is not great, but there are bikes out front. The work area in the back appears larger than the original facility.

And wtb the FROM Lambretta dealership? :silly:
(or, what does TO stand for?)

Thousand Oaks, California You may see me refer to it as "Thousand Jokes" but that is from habit. My beloved employer, Verizon, was headquartered in Thousand Oaks where from on high, they sent unintelligible missives to the masses.

3602 East TO Blvd (moved up to the auto dealers area), phone #'s the same. A very pleasant girl called Monica answers the phone and Jamerson/Mike are still out back....Shame, i always had terrific service from Dave and Linda. Hopefully that'll still be at the new place...

To recap, Dave Meyers sold TO, still owns & runs Sherman Oaks with wife Linda, has Guzzis on the floor there, & intends to continue selling & servicing Guzzis there along with Vespa & Aprilla. I do not know who he has wrenching on MG in SO, as I got my last service in TO before the sale/changeover, but I am told they have a MG certified wrench, perhaps with more experience on Aprilla to date than MG. Jameson stayed with the shop in Thousand Oaks, since moved a bit down the road from where it was.

Just spoke with Jamerson, all is as was at TO. Still selling everything same as before, but with new owners and new location.....Phew, that was a work out!!!!!

Stopped by earlier. Lot's of product. They have a V7C in white and black, and a V7C Cafe on the floor, along with CalVin, and Griso. Seems like more room than the original place.

Saw Mark and Jameison. My 12,000 mile service is due shortly, so I will be making an appointment.

Mark is Sparky or ? Is he the sole owner now there? Former T.O. Management were less then diplomatic when it came to their knowledge & experience. I see they now claim 9 years of service. I can update anyone with some interesting facts offline. Contact me direct.

The GuzziTech garage is open for service. Happy to be of help to any local Guzzisti.

All well & good, esp if you need/want some of Todd's excellent performance bits. However, if you have warranty service that needs to be done, then you need an actual MG dealer. Or perhaps you think it important that there be an actual dealer down the road. I do.

Out of warranty. The bike is a tank (no kinahora's), runs beautifully. Could not ask for a better machine.

There is a mixed consensus about TO. You are one of the lucky ones.
