tonti & loop pix thread

Now look what I've gone and done.....

It's a 1970 (second series I think) Ambassador.

It's winter project time.

I think the plan will be for it to be the factory metallic red with white fenders. Something along these lines....

I'm going to endeavor to try to restore this one back to total stock with the exception of the Gilardoni big bore kit.

I'm excited to get going on this thing. I'll post pics along the way.

Re:Loop picture

I'm not into her music, but 'tis a good shot:

I meant her (Rihanna's) music :S ... not Guzzis, which is always wonderful.

My first Guzzi...a "stock" 1989 Mille GT.
Pic was taken soon after I got it in 2008 and cleaned it up.

Always did like the Mille, I see it has the original stock humidity indicator front rotors
What's up with the front fender ?

Yeah, I had just washed it and didn't ride it or dry them.
I have to image they are as heavy as they are "rusty".
They do work well though!

That front fender is the stock one...what did u notice?
I was surprised that its made out of plastic though. Absolutely no structural support and no fork brace.

Its a nice ride though, the Mille. With the stock bars, its pretty easy on my back :)
This one was sitting for about 6 years...the PO put in a new battery, changed the fluids, and it started right up.
Although it wouldn't idle until I scraped the varnish out of the jets!

Re:Loop picture

There is a very huge chance that I built that gray Ambassador with Rihanna on it. Hmmmmm.
