RichRod's (SoCal) Jackal, now with V11S transplanted wheels.... he said he'd never build a Jackal like mine. Seems he's well on his way. Looking sweet RR.

Yeah, it is!!

Isn't "sport cruiser" a whole new category?? Or are we keeping it a secret so we can embarass the typical cruiser.

I'm just getting started on mine!

I do need that higher seat and the pegs further back. I have an R90 style fairing. I still want to get it striped like my Ambo......that way Todd can't say I copied him!!!!!

Stunning 'jackal' Guzzirider :D

tank shop gear? How did you do the fuel pump? details!

No problem with the fuel pump because it is external. John at the Tank Shop made me a custom tank with the EFI fittings. If anyone else wants one he has a template now for a Jackal.

Hey Gizzirider, can you tell me a bit about the instrument panel you have there. Have you got a link to the supplier ?. How did the installation go ?

Jackal Cafe Racer
Nice(!) job there. You "flattened" the lower frame rails too I see, yes?

Yes Bruce who made me up the custom rear sets kindly did that too! I was going to fit LM1000 lower frame rails with Tarozzi rear sets but glad I went for the custom made ones.

It is a Motogadget Motoscope Light http://www.motogadgetshop.com/index....html/XTCsid/1148607494a5da01d4efc5af30246592

I did not want to copy all the other cafe racers and fit a traditional looking unit and really fancied more modern looking instruments. You can chose the colour and whether you want the 8k, 10k or 14k version.

The speedo runs from a sensor to the front wheel, the rev counter to the coils- I also have the optional idiot lights that go with it. The chequered tape on the bracket is to hide my sloppy machining on the bracket, but it has ended up looking ok.

The unit also shows useless (but nonetheless fun) information like fastest standing quarter times, 0-60 mph and top speed. I'll let you know what the figures are next Spring!

The unit is not fully wired in yet- I'll let you know how it goes next month.

Fresh & ripe out of the GT garage for a fellow SoCal'er. Started life as an Aluminum. Not my favorite in color, but to each his own.
