Touring: Steel or Aluminum Handlebars?

Are the handlebars on a 14T aluminum or steel? I am considering getting something to hoist the bike in the event of a tip over. I could muscle up the Guzzi if needed to, provided it was not fully packed for a multi-day ride. However, with a bad back, I'd prefer to have an option other than waiting for help righting the bike or trying it myself. I found two companies that sell portable jacks: motobikejack and motowinch. The former is a US company, and the other is based in the Netherlands. Motowinch uses one end of the handlebars to lift the bike, and advises that their system works best with "fat aluminum handlebars, rather those made of steel." The US company uses a hook and lifts the bike from a foot peg or some other solid piece down low. Has anyone used either of these products?

The best way to pick up a tipped over bike is to not try to hoist it up by the bars. Face away from the bike and put your hands near the seat area or some place to get a good grip without burning yourself and squat the bike up using your legs and ass.

I agree with buzglyd. I once had to pick up a fully loaded ST 1300 Pan European but the back to the bike and use your legs method made it a doddle. There are lots of videos on YouTube demonstrating this method.
