Hello all,
Last year I had a shop warrenty a bad TPS at around 29k miles on my '16 V7ii.
Now its out of warranty and I can see the symptoms of a another bad TPS. Ive only put 3k miles in the year so I think there's an ancillary issue.
My question is can I do this at home and can someone direct me to a tutorial? I did a search but didn't find anything for a V7ii.
Thanks,
Steve.

Hi Steve, I think it was a cam sensor, and not a TPS, as that is onboard the ECU and would have meant complete throttle body replacement at big $.

Hey man!
If the tps is the same as the one on my v7 classic. Do NOT buy it from a dealership!

The price is Like 300 dollars. What they don't tell you, is that it's the same tps on a Fiat. Which is 40 dollars.

Thanks. Im going in next week to see if it has error codes stored.
I think they they replaced the entire throttle body. The error codes were p0336 /501 and 502.
Similar to a stuck cable the trottle remains at high rpms and the bike has to be shut off to get it to reset. Its unnerving coming off a freeway to a stop.

No TPS modules are the same.
So I had one that warried from 0,1% throttle to 100% in a millimeter. So had to force it while tightening it. That might the problem , it may be to close to 0% so after vibration and metal getting hot, it tipped the scale to 100%.

I bought 4 units instead of one so that is how I know

Ended up using the best one.
