Hi, I'm really happy with my V7 , especially now I have fitted Andreani cartridges, and Ohlins shocks. One thing that bugs me is the traction control. I always ride with it off, MGTC "0", but it wont stay off!! Is there any way to set it to "0" on startup, and turn it on , on the rare occasion that I want it on??

I find 1 works great and stays on.

This just might be the only instance I can recall in decades where I and vagrant agree. :giggle:

Seriously, I feel the same about TC. In my case, it's because my Guzzis are way more competent as machines than I am as a rider. ;)

In fairness, I am only aware of one instance in which the TC has kicked in its 5K miles . That was on a road that was once gravel, but had deteriorated to a gray-brown dirt road. Worse, it became in a low-lying section, essentially a mud track with a thin crust of dry "pavement" that gave no hint of the slimy goings an inch or less below.

I was in too far before I could stop. The dual-track "road" was too narrow to turn around on; besides, it was muck.

So, I (obviously without thinking through :drunk:) applied throttle in a ham-fisted way. Without TC, very much expect that the rear would have slid around and I would have gone down. But, nope, and I credit TC, I motored on straight and out of the nastiness.

Maybe any of you and others, more skilled than I, might not even remember such an incident because you don't need TC. I am, however, happy with it.

Wrong Bill we both like good bourbon and Guzzi!
I had a idiot try to change lanes while i was passing him at 60.grabbed a big handful of front brake, heard a quick chirp from the front tire and then stopped very fast while in #1.
