I've noticed the same thing. In particular here and the Mercedes forum I frequent.
I don't think I'd call it trolls, I'd call it social media entitled COVID-brain know-it-alls because they looked at it on the internet.
I have to keep asking to read the paragraphs at the top of the page, which no one reads anything anymore... and I've never deleted more posts in the last 6 months than I have since I started this Forum back in 2005.
I think I'll have to start doing what other Forums do, and make sure you can only post in an Intro section, and no where else until you have several posts there simply welcoming other members and having them also read the paragraphs at the top of the page. Kind of like writing... " I will not..." on the chalkboard 100x in front of the class.
On a Triumph forum I frequent in the last two years it is an epidemic of folks posting in the completely wrong forum and then getting mad when we direct them to the proper forum for proper help. Crazy. Then there are the zombie threads, oh Lord the zombie threads in the last two years! 😂

It is the internet after all. I try to manage my expectations to avoid frustration. We all have buttons that get pushed. For me nothing annoys like tone deaf know-it-alls. Every forum has some, this one included.
One man’s “tone deaf know-it-all“ is another man’s lifeline resource. 😄😄😄
