Trying to learn how to speak Italian

I am an "unfortunate" owner of a 1999 Bass that is trying to tell me things but I am having more than a little difficulty learning how to listen in Italian. This being my first Italian motorcycle I have learned to put up with most of the odd things that come with ownership but I find myself stumped again.
I came out of work the other day to find a puddle of gas underneath the bike, right in front of the rear tire. The bike has a fuel order also when at a stop light.
I drove home hoping not to burst into flame and parked it in the garage. I tore various pieces off to get a look (seat, side covers etc). I watched this damn thing for four hours and couldn't see any fuel leaks. I am thinking it might be a fuel pressure issue (leaks right after shutdown or while running) but can't duplicate. Any one know what the usual culprits are?

There's an Italian saying that goes like this:
"Donne e motori, gioie e dolori" - translation: "Women and motors, joy and sorrow".
Welcome to the club. :)

The bike may still have a one way valve in the tank air vent line causing the tank to over pressure and puke out the overflow. Do what many have done, locate the valve (between the front of tank and the frame usually on the left hand side) remove it and throw it away. If the valve isn't there, the line may be kinked or plugged by something.

John, thanks for the tips. Pulled the tank and checked all the lines yesterday. The valve that I found (one way) was set up to flor only into the tank so I figured that is the proper direction. It flows unimpeded in that direction. I degreased the entire area that is under suspicion and I am going to try to spot something tonight after running it a bit.
I am thinking that this bike might just end up having an unfortunate accident at some point in the near future if it doesn't start behaving a little nicer.

It is still best to remove that valve. Also it takes it out of the equation for causing the problem.

Speaking of speaking Italian...

When I was young I was introduced to Sicilian with this phrase:

Squilla la campana di Milazzo...

"Rings the bell of Milazzo..."

It then goes on to provide a couple of different options for the situation at hand... so to speak.

hehheh
