I have decided that I need another disc , been stewing it over for ages . I have the disc , a lefty F08 , even new pads to go in , BUT while I was dithering MG's have stopped listing the spacer and I don't really want to pack it out with an extra spacer . Does anyone know where I might find one of these spacer /bearing carrier/ disc mount things ? ( no objection to 2nd hand ).
Thanks
Hamish

Can't help with a spacer for a duel disc set up but I have to improve the front brakes of my T and have been told that fitting an F09 caliper from the rear of a SP makes a big improvement.
On the subject of brakes have you managed to improve the feel of the rear drum ?

You just need the T3 setup. The flanges are part number 14620302 and the bolts are 98052499 I show these parts as available, at least from a US dealer. You already have one of the flanges on the right side of your wheel, so you just need one for the left. The axle and spacer are the same.

The problem with the drum on the T is the shoes are too soft making it easy to lock the rear. When I had a T I learned how to release a rear brake lock without high siding!! Many times we stopped sideways in the road. I've found that bending the brake rod slightly so that you have to pull the bend out before full application of the rear does help the feel a bit.

Thanks guys , I was aware that the spacer on the existing disc is the one I need to duplicate .
I have an F09 on my bike at the mo and I find it a bit wooden and a bit prone to locking without warning ............and not providing a lot of stopping . I have a Brembo m/cyl ( same size as my Paso , cant remember what it is tho ) and Brembo pads. I reasoned that the paso brakes were fairly good so the plan was to fit 2x F08 calipers and matching( Paso ) m/cyl to the iron disc's should give me brakes similar to the Paso .
I don't use the rear brake , mashed right foot and leg see to that ( I have to bungy my foot to the peg so it don't keep falling off )

Fiat 500 , you could fit the F09 ( bigger piston ) or , in theory , a smaller dia m/cyl should have the same affect . Apparently some 850t's were fitted with F09's from factory to improve performance ( more likely they couldn't find an 08 and just chucked something on to get it down the line a bit further..............call me cynical :) )
