I recently returned from a great trip on my 17 Griso. Before leaving I installed a shock purchased from Todd. I had purchased a GTM2 shock to replace the horrible stock shock which was a good thing because I would not have been able to do this trip on the stock shock.
I left So Cal and rode thru northern AZ, Utah and to Cortez Co where I met a riding buddy who I’ve been riding with since 1985. We rode for several days in Colorado then headed northeast thru Utah into Wyoming to Jackson Hole then over the Tetons into Idaho thru Sun Valley, Ketchum, Stanley and up the salmon river to Lolo Montana. We then rode west over hwy 12 into Oregon then south to California riding the back roads back home. The Griso is a great touring bike. Gas mileage surprised me getting from 45 to 52 mpg.

Epic trip Bob, fun. I'm quite envious. Not many would ride a Griso like that, so kudos! Love hearing the shock made the trip easy.

ive been wearing vanson leathers for about 20 years and they have always worked very well even after a couple slides down the road.

the Griso is one of the easiest bikes to ride I have ever owned. I did this trip on the stock seat which wasn’t great but I just stood up occasionally. I just picked up a used Corbin that I should receive in a few days, that should fix that issue.

Sold the Corbin. That seat was horrible. I had quite a few Corbin seats but this one was not for me

Highway 12 west from Lolo is one of the best motorcycle roads there is!

BMW still makes the WORLD’S UGLIEST MOTORCYCLES when viewed from the rear.

Damn Germans! No sense of style, balance, or proportion at all.
