I have a deal pending on a nice V11 Sport . Its an 04 with low mileage and has been very well looked after . I ride a Griso 8V at present but find the bike a little uncomfortable for my size . I've got a 35 " inseam and have always felt cramped riding any long distance . The V11 has lowered pegs but I haven't sat on it yet as its a good days travel from here . I know the seat height is the same and wheel base shorter than the Griso but have read many reports about the comfort of the V11 on longer rides . Regardless will end up with the V11anyway but just some feedback from sport owners would be appreciated . Nothing wrong with having a greater choice in the garage ! Cheers.

Steve,

I have a Griso 8v and owned a '04 Ballabio ... same, I think as V11 Sport except (maybe, I think) different bars, with the Ballabio's being close to your Griso's.

Anyway, while I still rue the day I sold that red thing, my recollection of ergos is "not much difference."

Despite my knowledge of both of those machines, I may not be a particularly useful adviser, as I find most m/c pretty comfortable. Rode a friend's 748 for about 20 miles and it nearly killed me :S, but nearly all else work fine.

I am a 30" inseam, FWIW, and that extra 5 leg length is bound to be a big deal for you.

If going to something different in the Guzzi line-up, have you thought about a Stelvio, 1200S or B1100? Would think the fit better for you, yet still visceral grunters.

Bill

Thanks Bill , I figured there couldn't be a heck of a lot of difference and will give this info. some serious thought . I'm good at justifying these things when a bike this nice comes along but I don't need to be as uncomfortable in the long run . I have thought about the Stelvio . The Vancouver bike show is next weekend and will be looking at one .
