Hello all,
Since everyone was very helpful (thank you very much), I have another question I need some help with. I cleaned and rebuilt the carbs on my V50, noticed that one of the throttle cables was no good, which I replaced. I turned the throttle to test, and the slide did not move in the carb that I replaced the cable on. I removed the cable, and found it is about 1-1/2 inches longer than the old one. The slide moves freely. Should I have replaced both cables at once, or is the cable being longer the issue?
Thanks for the help.

Changing both at the same time might help. Are the sheaths the same length? If so a good shop can shorten the inner cable to make them match.

Change them both, it made a real difference on the throttle action of my V50-III. Lube them while your at it.

Well talking from experience here I made a really dumb mistake on new cables on my California. Check the way you have the cable hooked up I did mine wrong and waited a month for the new ones to come in and forgot how they went together. Mine appeared to be too short. Lol. Anyhow had a buddy over he looked and found my mistake right away and got it all squared away for me. Likely not your problem but perhaps worth a look.
