My 1984 V65sp rear indicators, brake and rego plate lights have stopped working. my front indicators are fine. I've checked the wiring with a circuit light. the left and right indicator have power, the tail light wire are as follows - Yellow has power, Black has power, but the blue/red wire doesn't, do I assume this is the ground and should not illuminate the bulb in the circuit tester. The blue/red also goes to the brake light switch, this does not light up the tester. Am I chasing a bad ground????
any help would be appreciated

Re: V65sp rear indicators/brake/rego plate lights not workin

Thanks John, I did find a couple of corroded joiners in a couple of blocks, however, now before i turn the ignition key to the on position, I'm getting a positive light on my tester from the 4 fuses, the tail light yellow wire, red/blue wire and black wire, the same with the left indicator pink wire and right indicator black/green.
When I do turn the key to the on position, the test probe doesn't light up when I touch the 4 fuses, but when I turn on the indicators, the front indicators work, but still not the rear, but if i touch the rear pink indicator wire or black/green indicator wire whilst the front indicators are on, the probe WILL flash but not the globes (the globes are both fine)

Is the light assembly together when you do the testing? The black wire should be providing a ground path for the bulbs. If the ground is disconnected somewhere, you could read power on it through the bulbs.
