I have a 2011 Moto Guzzi V7 with a Ducati type single phase generator/alternator and the two yellow wires from the alternator have come loose from the black male connector block. The white female connector is still attached to the two yellow wires to the rectifier. The black block is a little messed up and has had a little overheating (similar to attached photo from this website). Can anyone help on a) how best to reconnect the two sets of yellow wires, and b) how to identify which wire is which from the alternator? Or are they both doing same job so maybe they can be connected to either cable into the rectifier?
thanks
Geoff

Not surprising at all. Nearly EVERY V7 I've seen has a massively over-charging voltage regulator. Be sure to put a volt meter on it, or to all reading this.
I highly recommend replacement with one of NON-OEM. I offer them on the online Store here. Both yellows are interchangeable.

Geoff, the connector under the gas tank is also a problem. Not trusting a new connector, i soldered my wires together, but that may have been overkill.
The connector fits one way, right? From that you can figure which wire goes where.
Good luck and keep me posted.
Joe
