Does anyone know if the fuel filters are the same for all V7 classics made in 2011? I'm in N. America and was looking to buy a fuel filter out of the UK. I'm assuming they're all the same seeing as how they are all made at the same place. Thanks!

Don't know for sure but I'm pretty certain someone here can tell you if they are. Got a good price on Mahle KL145 filters from opieoils.co.uk.

The fuel filter is a standard piece, used by many manufacturers on different machines. Almost every filter company makes a version of it. On the Yahoo group Database page is a listing of a dozen different ones that fit; http://autos.groups.yahoo.com/group/MG_750/

But...get a filter with an all metal shell. For a time Guzzi fitted a half metal-half plastic filter. After a few years the plastic would get soft and split, spoiling the fuel flow. Usually you'd be stranded on a lonely desert road in full sun.

Oh wait, you're in Canada. So you'd be stranded on a wooded pike, with snow predicted for the evening, and no follow-up traffic until Spring.

    As Joe said.

If you've got a Triumph- or BMW motorcycle dealer in your neighborhood, they'll have the right filter on the shelf.
Most of them are actually made by Mahle, and the'll all carry the "145" number embedded somewhere.
