V7 Classic running rich on one cylinder, stalling

It could be the right hand ignition coil. I had similar problems on my Breva but it did not show as a fault code. This happened on several occasions until the coil failed completely a few hundred miles later. When the coil failed the EFI light came on and the bike just ran on one cylinder (and ruined the chrome of the exhaust due to overheating)

I'll pick up a coil from the breakers, and swap it out. Whilst it is apart, I'll check every connector I can see, and clean the earth points.
(Then I'll never know what the problem was, but I don't fancy taking the tank off twice)

Intermittent problem are the worst. Checking the connections and the earth(s) is a good step. Good luck with the coil too. Let us know what you find.

I fitted a replacement coil on Saturday.
Removing the tank was even more trouble than I thought.
Just when I was congratulating myself on parting the quick (in Luigi's dreams  ) connector, I discovered that there are 2 rubber drain tubes that have to be detached, fairly easy as they stretch to about 0.1mm diameter by the time the tank is high enough to reach them, but replacing them is well nigh impossible.

As I do the impossible with cars and bikes on a regular basis, I did reconnect them, by stretching them one at a time until the 'bike was about to lift off the ground, and ramming them on like lightning, then replacing the clamp before they shrank back. I did sort of expect them to simply slide out of wherever the other end is as I lifted the tank though

Anyway, the missfire has gone :woohoo:

Been missing (pun) all week.

Supposed to be raining tomorrow, that should test it out.

Fingers crossed that it doesn't come back in a few weeks like before though.
