The turn signals button is on the left handlebar. On the right, in the same spot, is a blank cover. Does anyone know where I can source a switch that fits that cover? I want to install a hazards flasher button and I think this would be the best place to put it.

Related, i've seen a bunch of hazard light buttons on ebay and amazon, they all look like cheap shit. There's a $50 version on J&P. Does anyone have experience with these, or other versions?

Thanks!

I would not buy that at all. I would go to Radio Shack or the like and get a micro switch(2 position), Take the sq cover off, drill hole & mount in cover then go to a flash relay.

Unless installed by the factory there is no way to set up hazard flashers. The turn signals are controlled by the dash. unless you can figure out a way to tell the dash to flash all, then it can't be done. There is no documentation on what goes on in the dash, so I'd say not possible.

On the old bikes before dash control it was easy enough. Just use a SPST switch connected to both left and right. Just flip the switch and press for a turn signal and all 4 would flash.

The only other (expensive) solution would be to buy a set of aftermarket LED turn indicators that are dual-filament type (that is, intended to be use as rear indicators, one filament working in synch with the brake light and the other working as a turn indicator) and then wiring in a completely independent flasher circuit to the second filament in all four.

Rizoma sells some very nice, very high quality indicator lamps like this, but a set of four and all the adapters, etc, you need to mount them and have them look good and work right means spending about $300 for the indicators alone, then you have all the wiring to do and whatever other ancillary bits you need as well.

Personally, I've never really seen the purpose of hazard flashers on a motorcycle. I know someone's going to now apprise me of their value... :D

Check out some of these - https://www.thirdgear.com.au/parts/lights/indicators/ - there are a few which have 2 lights in 1 and the prices are far more sane.

Won't come from me.

I use the ones on the Norge now and then, but about the only times I specifically recall using them are when in school or construction zones.

Doesn't the use of them permit one to park in the most ridiculous places, or does that only apply to BMW drivers?

But being serious, if they are not fitted, then there is little chance of any retro fitment.

My "Big" use of 4 ways is in heavy rain storms on back country roads where there is no place to get off & I have to go along at a slow speed.
Drivers around here do not slow down or put on headlights for rain.
