Hey guys, it's been over a year now since I bought my V7II and I've put a little over 15,000mi on it now.

I've been doing my own maintenance and got tired of looking at the chart on multiple pages in the owners manual, so I created my own chart with extra comments added along the way. I thought others might find it useful as well so I'm uploading (as an image, excel files not accepted).

Upload 2018 1 18 10 12 8

Let me know if any changes should be added!

Thanks for doing the work. Did you try zipping the Excel file and uploading that? Perhaps you could contact Todd directly and he can place the file in the downloads section.

This is really nice. I took a screenshot and am going to print a copy to fold up and keep with the bike, and laminate another copy to keep with my tools

What John says, just email it to me; Todd at GuzziTech.com

quick question about the headbolt...

thought it was required only the 1st service or is it recommend everytime?

pretty sure V7 and V7ii has same design?

Thanks for the leg work!

Definitely on the first service. Then I like to re-torque on the next two. After the third time all gasket compression should have been achieved.

Hey Todd, just came back to check the responses on this post. I have the file on my work computer so I'll send you the file on Monday when I go back in.

Hey Timmy,
I thought that was overkill too, but I had one head gasket go out at 13,000 miles and then the other side at 14,000 miles. Mainly put that in for precaution to take into consideration, I will probably edit the file I send to Todd to follow John's advice.
*Note that Moto Guzzi did cover both head gaskets as a warranty repair

Glad it will be of use for you!

Just out of curiosity, if the maintenance is due every ~6000 miles, why did my "MAINT" message appear in the upper 9000's?

The "dashboard" computer was never updated when the recommended maintenance interval was changed from 7500 km to 10,000 km, back in about 2013. As far as I am aware, it STILL haven't been updated.

So, just ignore the computer?

Is there a way to clear the "MAINT" message?

While holding the left "dashboard" button down, turn the ignition on, then off. Voilà! It's gone.
