So I've had my bike now for about 6 months and have about 1500 miles on it. Since new it has had this rattle under the gas tank or somewhere in front of the rider under any other load than cruising or idle. I asked the dealer to look at it once already at my break in service and they moved some cables around hoping it would help. That worked for about 100 miles before starting again and really am hesitant to ask them to look at it again. Has anybody else had this issue? Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Every weird rattle I've had has been the result of something getting loose so make sure everything is tight. Last time I experienced this turned out to be the RH horn. These bikes, or well atleast mine, vibrate like a mf'er so things do have a tendency to unscrew themselves. That being said, if moving the cables around worked the first time, I'd probably check that first.

Also, don't be hesitant to ask them again. It's their job to make sure everythings working right especially under warranty.

    Like Bobby said.
Anything loose is suspect & even stuff that appears to be fastened is also.
Never hurts to get a basic set of tools & give all nuts, bolts, screws a little tension to see if they are tight.
That will also help to get you familiar with your machine.

Ok sounds good I'll check all the bolts and nuts up front.

Pull the tank off and have a good look around.
