V7 Mk III Scrambler?

Hi all,
I've had a 2009 Griso for about 10 years and am still thrilled with it. I've started to have a wandering eye though while passing on by easy fire roads.

The Stornello seems to command a lot of dough if you can find one and V7 III's are on a great sale right now. I want to do a lightweight scrambler on a budget with the Arrow high pipe which retails for an ungodly $2,300. I've only seen one pic of it mounted on a yellow Stone. For a mere $1,100 over the cost of a Stone the V7 Racer can be had with all the bells and whistles. If I had a box of tools and bolted a Racer and Rough together I could make one for only $15k. There has to be a better way me thinks.

Any reviews on fitment of the high pipe or alternatives are appreciated. I like the idea of the TC and ABS too but on an all metal bike with shaft drive and air cooling. Am I asking too much? ;-) The V85TT is out of my price range and a bit more weight and complexity than I want.

Thanks!

Thanks JZ. JB and I traded emails already before his post above, and I let him know I can be of help, but @jlburgess - I hinted to, but not sure you’re aware of my www.GTMotoCycles.com shop in Orange(?), where my Team and I work some magic these days. Happy to be of help.
Grab a V7 III Racer and bring it up. If you purchase the Arrow, be sure it is not the factory version, or better yet, I can build you one for $2300. ;)
I’ll be watching.
