I have my eye on a very nicely kitted used V7 Racer and Have one question: how can the performance be improved? The simple matters like mapping and exhaust have been tended to and yet the bike still leaves one wanting. It pull fine, handles fine but feels like a Griso with one cylinder shut down.

Any ideas?

As the saying goes there is no replacement for displacement. You just can't get the same power out of a 750 that you get from an 1100 or 1200cc engine.

If you're used to big block Guzzi power, you'll likely never be happy.

However, if you like it's size and weight, I have both a 820 big-bore kit and a 820-4V kit available; https://www.guzzitech.com/forums/threads/gt-rx®-v7r-820-quattrovalvole-dyno-run-info.15435/page-2#post-123379

I'm working on modifying the new V9 engine as well as transforming one to look like a V7 (below)... but don't expect that much more power. The new V9 mill is at the base from what some expect for a modern 850cc motor.
I wish they had just turned the Bellagio into the V9.

Right you are. The 820 kit seems to be the only game in town. Guess I have to mull this over a bit longer. But then again, winter is coming and prices drop!

Hey rudolf35!
Not sure if I can put feelings into words but I'll try.

I ride everyday, my daily rider is a Victory tour, great machine for all the reasons that makes a machine great.
I also have a Griso, a Jackal & a Mille GT.
The Guzzi's are my "days off" riders because I live too close to work to get them hot enough to keep the oil fresh.

Now when I feel the need for speed & to re-capture some of my youth I crank up the Grizz Bear, love that bike.
I'll put 400 miles on in a day & feel like doing another round.

The Guzzi that gets ridden the most is the Mille GT. By far she is the slowest & least responsive of all my ponies.
Yet there is some weird satisfaction that comes from riding her.

I'm thinking it may be the same for a modern V7 or V9 Guzzi. I have ridden an early V7 in the GA mountains & thought it was a blast to ride. If I lived close to Todd I'd be on his modded V7R & I have a feeling that I would probably be adding one to the herd.

I'm thinking that if the V7 you are looking at found it's way to your home you may find that power is a thrill but satisfaction is even greater.

I can relate to and agree with every word in this post, though there last ones resonate the most with me.
